About D.B. Holy

I was raised in Meridian, Mississippi, and spent my developing years on a small farm. It was there, working with the animals, my love for farmlife and nature started. Of course, my grandmother, who raise me, and most of my friends would listen to country and western music at times. It was only nautral for me to don jeans and a shirt of western design for a night out on the town.

I soon had a horse to ride and took a job with the local vetenarian due to my deep love for all animals. My pets were, as now, pampered and treated with kindness. I'd seen abused animals and couldn't understand how pet owners could be so mean, but I've since learned in life that some folks don't care about hurting others.

Writing is exciting to me, because I get the chance to tell a tall tale, and I really enjoy doing that. I'm currently working on a book with another historical wrtier, W.R. Benton, and it's titled "The Fur Seekers." It's about a yound boy who heads west with his father, back in the mountain man days, but his father is killed and the lad is taken under wing by an old mountain man. I think it will be an interesting read and I look forward to seeing it in print.

After high school I attending college and work as a Respiratory Technician for a number of years before retiring. I now operate a successful professional photography business and write.
